Isaiah 54:2: "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes".
We have been challenged recently to think outside the box with regard to CYO's work in the schools; Instead of doing specific work in specific areas because "that's what we do", we're beginning to explore fresh avenues in both primary & secondary schools to see how else we can represent Jesus in our work.
Take Anam Cara for example. Our reflection room project is so well received and is getting recognised by more schools as the years pass. But why restrict it to Secondary Schools? Because "That's what we do"! The potential for Anam Cara in primary schools is massive; so also is the concept of adapting AC so that it can be incorporated into a series of bitesize reflective sessions. So, over the coming months we will be enlarging the place of Anam Cara - however that may look!
Looking to the future we're excited at new opportunities coming our way through the exploration of new avenues. To do it though will require some curtain widening, cord lengthening...and lots of listening to God.
Can someone pass the tent pegs....!
