I received devastating news this morning that my cousin passed away. He was diagnosed with cancer just last month and was posting updates on social media until only a few days ago. All so sudden, all so unfair. Three young kids have lost their dad, a young wife should have grown old with a selfless husband who was always smiling and never moaning. I'm so pleased I was able to spend time with him last week, to pray and laugh together. Rest in peace, dear friend.

As this school year draws to an end, we part company with a large number of young people who have received weekly mentoring since September. Of these, a significant portion are also going through the process of bereavement; some have lost parents, siblings and other family members, often in the most tragic circumstances (if losing a loved one wasn't tragic enough!).
I have been able to pray to God for personal strength today, and also for Him to bring peace and comfort to others; but who do our young people turn to? For the students we're seeing who have no faith in our God, where do they find their peace? Over this summer break, please join me in doing three things:
1. Thanking our God for all that we have, the air in our lungs and the privilege of a new day.
2. Asking for God to be with all the young people we have seen this year who are grieving the loss of a loved one, that God will fill them with supernatural peace.
3. For God to convict us to share Him with everyone we meet. Because if we don't do that today, who will do it tomorrow?
Thanks to all our supporters for all you have done this academic year. We're going to enjoy catching our breath over the Summer and look forward to getting back into rhythm in September. As with every other year, I'm sure it'll come round quickly!
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
