The last of the snow is melting in the area and car thermometers are reading above zero in the mornings for the first time in ages. Springtime, it seems, is well on the way. Which is nice, considering the Summer Term is upon us!
It struck me that we face so many seasons in our lives, and this is no more true than in the lives of the young people we see each week. So many are battling with illnesses, divorces, friendship pressures, revision, coursework, homework, hobbies and a host of other demands on their lives...it's easy for them not to see beyond tomorrow and consider today to be their 'lot'.
Someone famously said once "It's a bad day, not a bad life". We hope and pray that this is something that really hits home to young people this week.
Father God, please bring reassurance to those who need to hear it, that You always deliver new seasons. We pray that the next season they face will be one of positivity, encouragement, love and belonging.
