Thousands of people around the UK are counting the days (hours, perhaps) to the end of another academic year. For students and staff who have worked their socks off, it will be a welcome reward for their effort...but what about those who are at the end of an era?
For many, they are leaving a place of safety and reassurance to start a new school/college in September. This may seem trivial to most of us, but it can be a crippling concept for them.
What sends shivers down our spines? What makes our stomachs turn when we think about it? And where do we found our safety and reassurance in those times? Our only true security can be found in the Lord...
Please pray for those who are facing uncertainty at the moment. Pray that they will feel at home the moment they reach their new place of education...and will be the beginning of an exciting few years. And of course, please pray that their Summer holiday break will be a joyful, relaxing, worry-free time!
