Matt Ager • Director

Working with us in secondary schools since 1999, Matt also stepped into the role of Director in 2015.  

Married with three kids, he enjoys outdoor sports, beating kids at board games and staying busy.

Interesting fact: He has a world record!

Sheena Mill • Primary Schools Worker

Sheena joined us in 1998, serving the Braintree primary schools throughout this time.  

When not in schools she likes to be creative, dogwalking, tending the garden and enjoying family time

Interesting fact: She can walk on stilts!


Olive Hutchinson • Secondary Schools Mentor

Olive arrived on the scene at the same time as Sheena.  Her role has evolved over the years and now loves mentoring girls in the four Braintree area secondary schools.

She loves being a mum, grandma and being arty with crocheting and craft

Interesting fact: She is an accomplished Barista


CYO is overseen by a team of trustees, each with an area of responsibility to help the charity flourish.

Delana Tomkins • Primary & Secondary Schools Worker

Delana joined CYO in September 2021 working in both primary and secondary schools in the Hedingham and Halstead area. She and her husband Justin along with their two children moved to Essex in 2019.


She loves exploring new places, wide open green spaces, sunny days, having chickens in the garden, and baking muffins!

Interesting fact: Delana comes by her American accent honestly, born in the USA, she grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and considers blue crab the taste of home.

Holly Legg • Secondary Schools Mentor

Holly joined us in 2021 thanks to a successful grant application, specifically to add to our increasing demand for mentoring in the local schools.

Currently a mum to two and a half (one in utero) children, and married to Ryan. Hobbies include binge-watching American hospital dramas (Scrubs, House & Greys Anatomy), giving her children endless amounts of snacks and spending time with her family.


Interesting fact: The Grease Megamix is her go to Karaoke song


Andy Knight • Volunteer Mentor

Andy joined us in 2019, working in the Braintree secondary schools.  He is a wonderful addition to the team and we love hearing from the schools how much of an impact he is making in the lives of so many young lads.
